Retreats, Practical Workshops and Labs
We love to share different practices and get a little bit deeper with the yoga and somatics works we do.
Our retreats are exactly that, a retreat to our peaceful centre. Expect nourishing practices with a light hearted emphasis whilst implicitly depending our self awareness and understanding.
Practical workshops are for those who want to explore the techniques in greater detail, with some theory and reflection to facilitate knowledge and understanding. Great for if you'd like to weave these practices into your own life, or would like to show others.
Labs are a mixture of the 2. It's experiential learning/practice with deepening of our understanding through embodiment and inquiry rather than too much didactic teaching.

Examples of past sessions:
The Body Speaks: Somatics & Anxiety -. This is a half day practical workshop which looks at Somatic techniques in relation to anxiety. We will look at some theory, but a lot of the learning will be experiential. It will, however, be lighthearted and there will be a sweet treat for elevenses. :-)
Half Day Retreat - "A stable base, to find our space." This retreat is all about connecting to ourselves so that we can reclaim the space this was always ours. So often we allow ourselves to be diminished, we fade away, we people please... this is all about standing our ground. When we do this somatically, we find we are able to be stronger in our convictions and standing up for what we believe and who we are. This session is about finding our voice and allowing our heart to sing. (We won't be singing (unless you want to) but there will be cake..). It is rooted in yoga and mindfulness, along with a sprinkling of psychological somatics. You don't need any prior experience, but a sense of curiosity is encouraged. I can't wait to share this day with you, it can be quite thought/action provoking.
